About me

A Little bit about myself

I’m David Eaton

Artist, musician, and multi-medium creator working across sound, print and story.

My work lives at the intersection of music, illustration, photography, and written reflection. I score films, design and produce prints by hand. All while exploring ideas about ritual, recovery, and rhythm through writing and sound.

I create to understand what I’ve lived through–and to stay curious about what’s ahead. Much of what I share here is part of processing things honesty, while also trying to uncover beauty and the silver linings that reveal themselves along the way.

Creative Roots & professional practice

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Virginia Commonwealth University (2017), where I focused on opera and minored in business. After graduating, I earned a post-baccalaureate certificate through VCU and In Your Ear Studios in the Advanced Media Production Technology (AMPT) program—where I deepened my skills in sound design, audio engineering, and digital production.

My roots in music stretch back to early performances and ensemble work—I was the most decorated musician in my high school, and I’ve since performed at venues like the Kennedy Center, 9:30 Club, The National, and other spaces in between. I’ve also written, recorded, and released an original album (with another currently in the works—note to self: get it remastered and re-released soon).
In addition to music, I have a strong foundation in visual art and printmaking. I produce handmade screen prints, commissions, and show posters that draw on themes of myth, memory, and transformation.

Today, I work across mediums—composing, designing, writing, and building a creative practice rooted in exploration, ritual, and honest reflection.
